If a person doesn't know there is a God up in heaven who knows what He is doing when He sends babies into the world, then it seems to them that all the scare talk about overpopulation is true. If we don't control our population increase, we are doomed, they think. To them, there is nobody and nothing else controling it for us, so we humans have to do it. If we don't, we will destroy the planet and ourselves. This can lead to draconian laws about how many kids you can have and forced abortion, among other horrors.
The solution is to teach people that God is real and He knows what He's doing. The threat of global warming? Pray and live a righteous life, both individually and collectively, and God will take care of it. If we don't do that, no amount of man's tinkering will help. As to whether the feminists are going to catch on to the misogyny of abortion. Well, there is a group called Feminists For Life. They have caught on already. But they are marginalized within the feminist movement and not accepted as real feminists by the mainstream feminists. The pro-abortion crowd probably won't catch on at all, because they live in their own alternate reality. They refuse to see anything that doesn't fit with their ideology of abortion as the great liberator of women, and lack of abortion as the great oppressor of women. That means closing their eyes to a lot of facts, but that's exactly what they do.
By UNFPA Executive Director BABATUNDE OSOTIMEHIN.
"Research shows that family planning can empower a woman and transform her life, through higher incomes and educational attainment, better health, and greater involvement in her community and in her own household's affairs. Family planning is clearly one of the most critically important investments that we can make in health, in women's rights, and in the life trajectories of young people." ... But of course, you guys wouldn't want a woman to have the chance to decide over her own life, right? |
