I'm missing the pro-life connection to trans-humanism. Please help me understand.
It'd be nice if you gave some wider context and analysis of this.
So what do you think about Newt's statement? Do you think he gets it right? How do you think the other candidates stand on this issue, and are you comfortable with the general thrust of the Republican primary in this area?
Newt understands the underpinnings of tranhumanism. That this is not just about enhancements, but the nature of man. Transhumanism rejects our nature. It assumes that we need upgrading. This rejection of the dignity inherent in humanity, will lead to all sorts of injustice including, but not limited to a society where those that have access or can afford enhancements will naturally rule of those who are unenhanced.
Unfortunately, many people just do not feel this is a pressing issue so who knows how Republicans in general see the issue. I am sure that Santorum understands because of his Catholic faith. Romney, I don't know. Some Mormons embrace transhumanism whole-heartedly so it is anyone's guess. |
