As the saying went, "Hitler (Stalin, Mussolini) made the trains run on time."
Slippery-slopeism is often derided, yet we continue to slip.
When looked at this way one can really see the folly of voting Democrat for economic reasons.
I used to think that a good economy would prevent abortions. The reasoning went like this: Many women don't know any better, don't know it's wrong, than to have abortions. But they want to be mothers for their own reasons. Now if such a woman becomes pregnant at a time of financial hardship in her life, she is likely to have an abortion, even of a wanted baby. She will say to herself, 'I can't even take care of myself, how can I support a baby?' And off she goes to the abortion clinic, to abort her wanted baby, for financial reasons. If she is better off financially, she will have the baby and raise it. Based on this line of thinking I voted for Bill Clinton in 1992, thinking that even though he was pro-choice, there would be fewer abortions under his watch, at least fewer financially motivated abortions. Bill Clinton did turn the economy around. But were there fewer abortions? I don't know for sure because Planned Parenthood does a hard sell job. They make money off every abortion that they do. So they are highly motivated to talk women into aborting. We do need to make getting rid of Roe v. Wade a priority. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. This means get rid of Roe v. Wade first and foremost. |
