If they're criticizing you for speaking up (who are "they," by the way?), then it's a sign you need to keep it up.
People at my talks, and commenters on this blog. There are some Churches in my area that will not ask me to come and speak because I denounce IVF.
I choose to say that one can sympathize with couples experiencing infertility, while pointing out the hugh ethical problems with IVF, especially how it is done in this country. In Italy, conversely, no more embryos are created than one intends to implant, which eliminates the possibility of "excess" (what a sick word) embryos being frozen. That may not eliminate your objections to IVF, but it's at least a little better there than here. I read somewhere a while back that the technology is improving to the point at which they may soon no longer create more embryos here than they intend to implant. What have you heard?
