I wonder how he defines "practicality"? One would think that supporting nonlethal SCR methods would be practical, yet he has defunded them. One would think that pouring large sums into ESCR just when scientific opinion seems to be beginning to acknowledge it a waste of resources would be impractical, yet he has expanded funding there.
If "science" and "practicality" were going to be paramount in this administration, those of us who object to ESCR should have little to worry about. Obama's view of science seems much like his view of history: It is what he'd like it to be; never mind what the records show. |
